I have been a bad blogger:

Barely took any pictures in NYC
We only had one nice sunny day - the rest was cold, rainy and windy which made it hard to take photos.

Haven't posted in over a week
Because of the bad weather and my poor choice of outfit I caught a bad cold. But I learned my lesson - don't listen to the hubby when he tells you "why would you bring 2 jackets" and "let's share the suitcase"

On another note - this is what my apartment looks like at the moment.

Mirror mirror on the wall

An extra large mirror is exactly what any room needs to make it look larger, ad light, glamour but it can also be a lot less expensive than purchasing art. They come is different finishes so - easy to match to any decor - and unlike art, you can't get sick of it. If you are on a smaller budget - shop big bought stores and refinish the frame yourself with gold or silver leafs or spray paint it a bright colour! Here is my moodboard for extra large mirrors

Road trip to NYC this weekend with the hubby to spend time with our favorite NYC couple. Shopping and great food are in the plans

I have been on the hunt for the perfect vintage bar trolley to ad some glamour to my future living room dinning room combo. If not I might settle for a bar tray equally as glamorous and easy to move wherever the party is : )

Happy Friday!

Last night I attend, unfortunately, a goodbye party for a dear colleague of mine at Sparrows, a cozy little pub on St-Laurent blvd. The poor lighting inside made for very shameful photograhs...sorry.

It was on another note, a beautiful evening in the city, I parked farther on purpose to take advantage of the great weather. There nothing like a warm evening in Spring to put things back in perspective!

LOCALE & Leda St-Jacques

A few weeks ago I had the honor of being the art director on set, for a photoshoot with one of Canada's top fashion photographer duo, Leda & St-Jacques that was filmed by the CBC for an upcoming special this August! It was a feature shoot for the LOCALE F/W 2011 product.

LOCALE is a brand new footwear and accessories destination that fuses fashion, art and community.

I can't release the pictures yet but here's a group photo @ the wrap. You can't miss me with my pink blazer and green jeans! I was laughing so hard because Leda (right next to me with the black hat) was saying all kinds of things I will not repeat here : ) I tried to photoshop my face...but without any success.

bold bathrooms

I am loving bold wallpaper bathrooms. I just wonder what the logistics are....steamy bathrooms and glue?
So beautiful! I must convince the hubby on this...specially the black and white stripes!!

Growing up


The day you gave me away

Judas

I must admit - every time Lady Gaga comes out with a song, I always look forward to see how the video will turn out.

I am not one to be outraged by lyrics or videos included. When I first heard Judas, I thought to myself...just another song with controversial lyrics. Big Deal, Madonna did it and look at where she is now.

Saw the music video yesterday and having studied art history back in the days....the video is in my opinion a massive throw up of religious symbols. Whether it is a good thing or not - I am not one to judge...but man that woman has a set of balls to wear a bra with crosses on each breast.

Pushing boundaries...we all do it. Props for the girl to keep rolling with the punches.

Feeling green

The city is wet, cold and sad. It has been raining non-stop for a few days now...and it doesn't look like it's about to stop! On the flip side the trees are blooming and the grass is green...but on the other I am so white...I feel see through with a hint of green.

I am full of work and exhausted. I am dreaming of a mess free apartment without any boxes in my bedroom or dinning room. I can't wait to move into our new condo!

I wish I could stay in bed all day with tones of magazines and more time to blog and shop for my new camera.

Note to self...I love my Burberry rain boots...but I want the black Hunter with the warm socks.

Art Walls

Sorry about the lack of posts. I was lucky enough this weekend to be the art director on set for a photoshoot with Canadian fashion photographers Leda & St.Jacques. I will soon post behind the scene pics.

In the mean time, here is a project I intend on taking on in our brand new condo we will soon be moving in.

Art walls are such amazing focal point in any room and a big design trend. They are for sure a lot of work, from looking for photographs or art worthy of framing, frames, measuring, figuring out placement....I have my work cut out! I might just end up doing a leaning art wall and skip the measuring and nailing.... : )
